Gamelab develops Zoom In: a game to replace hearing test for small children

Commissioned by and in cooperation with Industrial Design students Suzanne Wermink and others, and with doctor and ear specialist Jan-Kees Jol, the gamelab developed a game to test the hearing of 3-year olds. The game is very simple: children need to feed 4 different animals every time they hear a beep. If they don't hear anything, they don't feed the animal. This game is meant to replace functional and dull machines that do these tests nowadays. It is difficult for doctors and parents to keep the child's attention to the test, but this game should prove otherwise. The game just finished development and plans for (comparing) research with the game are being made.

The game was developed by Furkan Sonmez with drawings by Hans Krill.
